Anthony is a licensed builder who has spent 22 years in construction across Sydney, from excavation through to finished homes. Calvora is the side of the business built for the jobs that get done properly in a week or two rather than a year: fencing, retaining walls and the structural landscaping that ties them together.

Posts set to depth in concrete, spaced to the panel, and checked for line and level before anything is fixed to them.

Rails and fixings

The right rail count for the height, and fixings that suit the material rather than whatever is on the ute.

Stepped or raked to the fall so there is no daylight under the panels and no awkward wedge at the end of the run.

Questions

The things people ask before they book

Does my neighbour have to pay half?
For a dividing fence in NSW they usually contribute to a standard fence, and the process starts with a written notice to them. We can quote it so the cost split is clear on paper, which makes that conversation a lot easier. Any upgrade beyond a standard fence is generally on whoever wants it.
Do you remove the old fence?
Yes, removal and disposal are part of the quote. If you want to keep any of the old timber, tell us and we will stack it rather than bin it.
My block slopes. Is that a problem?
No. Falling ground is normal around the Nepean, and there are two ways to handle it: step the fence down in sections, or rake the panels to follow the slope. On a steeper drop the answer is sometimes a low retaining wall with the fence on top, which we build as one job.
How long does a fence take?
A standard suburban boundary is usually a day or two on site once materials are in. Acreage runs and anything involving retaining take longer, and we will tell you the real timeline at quote rather than the one you want to hear.
How much does fencing cost?
It depends on the material, the height, the metres and what the ground is doing. That is why the quote is free and onsite: guessing a rate per metre over the phone is how people end up with a number that changes on install day.
What areas do you cover?
Penrith and the Nepean, out to Richmond, Windsor, Mulgoa, Wallacia, Luddenham and the lower Blue Mountains. Ring and ask if you are on the edge of that.
